Rider snaps NDSU’s win streak

HAMPTON, Va. -- Rider University defeated North Dakota State 19-16, snapping the Bison’s school-record 23-match winning streak in the opening round of the Virginia Duals in college wrestling Friday.

NDSU (5-2) suffered a 25-15 loss to the University of Buffalo in the consolation round before beating the university of Virginia 21-18 to close the tournament.

The win over Virginia improved NDSU’s dual record against Atlantic Coast Conference schools to 3-0 on the season.
